Canadian International Trade Tribunal – Inquiry into Dumping of Silicon Metal
Retained by the CITT to assist in their review of alleged dumping of silicon metal into the Canadian market exported by producers in various countries.
CHS was retained by the CITT to review accounting information provided by a complainant in their producer’s questionnaire, to address issues raised by respondents and to provide an expert independent opinion as to the accuracy of the information submitted. The review considered numerous accounting issues including cost accounting and consolidation. CHS testified at the CITT hearings and was cross-examined by all parties.
The CHS report and testimony was used by the Tribunal to inform its analysis of the methodology used and assumptions relied upon by the complainant in its financial and supporting documentation.
