Detailed financial investigation into the Competition Bureau’s allegations of misleading advertising against a major retailer.
The Competition Act contains many sections dealing with conduct constituting criminal offences and reviewable matters. Section 52 deals with misleading advertising.
CHS’ Principals have been retained on several matters by Counsel for respondents to investigate whether their high-low selling price programs offended regular price claims. In one case, we quantified quantities of sales at regular price as well as time-on-sale at regular price. The respondent was successful in having the Competition Act charges dropped.
