Government Inquiries
Overview
Federal and Provincial governments, from time to time, may call for inquiries involving issues of significant concern and urgency. This usually involves the appointment of a Commissioner to oversee the inquiry, who in turn will generally appoint lead counsel, experts and assistants to aid and assist in the inquiry. Public inquiries can have a mandate to investigate and report on facts and/or make recommendations for the development of public policy.
CHS professionals have significant experience assisting with inquiries including forensic investigation, coordinating forensic IT activities, the planning and conduct of interviews, strategic planning and advice to the Commissioner and co-counsel and document coordination and analysis.
