Ontario has some of Canada’s best growing conditions for wine production.  In particular, the Niagara Escarpment in Southern Ontario has many small wineries specializing in a variety of products. Canada's ice wine is produced and exported throughout the world.  Many wineries also offer hospitality facilities including site tours and wine tasting, high quality restaurants, event facilities and retail operations.  Changes in weather affect annual production yields and product quality; Canadian wines have received many local and international awards.

CHS has been retained to value Ontario wineries for determination of equalization payments and income levels for spousal and child support payments necessary in family law disputes.  Our involvement included valuations at many different dates, and taking into consideration alternative land uses where applicable.  We have worked with complementary experts including real estate and equipment appraisers.
